A Message From Fr. Mike Straley

06-25-2023Weekly ReflectionFr. Mike Straley

Howdy,

No matter how many times I move from one parish to another it never gets easier. We become family and it is hard to leave family.

First, let me say I am sorry if I have ever ignored or offended any of you, I sincerely apologize. I have always tried to follow the guidance of our Church and the example of our Bishop, but I am human.

It is such a grace to know that I leave you in the capable hands of Fr. Fred and Fr. Simon. I know that our family will continue to grow and be a presence of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in our community. St. Bernard of Clairvaux is such a generous parish throughout our diocese supporting so many ministries that help those in need. I have been proud to be a part of that work.

Yes, I am happy to let go of the responsibility of your pastor but I carry great memories with me. Please do not forget: “Where there is food ( or wine or scotch), there is father!”

You are in my prayers,

Fr. Mike
