A Message From Our Pastor

Howdy,

I am sure most of you have heard that Bishop Dolan has accepted my offer to resign as pastor. Obviously, I have very mixed feelings about leaving, but it is the best for me and for my health. I am confident that with our great staff and with our wonderful community, the future will be very bright.

We will continue our plans for a rectory; as I have told some people, when I fully retire it would be great to come back here. The rectory was never about me, but about our community, our family. Having the spiritual fathers living with the family is what our Catholic Church recommends strongly.

This weekend is our Gospel of Life collection and it is important to remember the 1/3 of this collection stays in our parish for our Sanctity of Life ministries. We are a very “pro-life” community and this helps us continue that tradition. Just a quick reminder that next month, Wed, Feb 22, begins the Season of Lent with Ash Wednesday.
