Anniversary of the Founding of our Parish

Next Friday we will celebrate the founding anniversary of our parish, St. Bernard of Clairvaux. Since July 1, we have witnessed the presence of our God in this community in North Scottsdale. I know many of you have been with us since that day in 1994 and have watched us grow.

Our founding pastor was Fr. John Vogt, he was followed by Fr. Bob Voss, who helped build our beautiful church. Later, Fr. Brian Bell was our pastor and he not only helped build the Parish Center, but also the beautiful art in the church. I have been blessed to know all three pastors—what a mixed bag!

The founding date of a parish is a solemnity Mass and we will celebrate that at our 9am Mass. Since it is Friday, and many will be gone for the summer weekend, our staff recommended that we do not try to have an evening Mass. I look forward to celebrating our anniversary with you.
