It's Budget Time Again

It is that time of year: budgets. Our parish runs on a fiscal year from July 1 through June 30. Budgeting is always difficult and it was especially during the pandemic. While Covid is not over yet, it has slowed down and we can look at next year’s budget a little closer.

The largest part of any parish budget is salaries. We are blessed with talented and dedicated staff members who see what they do as ministry, a calling from God. Of course, they still need to be paid. The Diocese of Phoenix gives “guidelines” for different ministry positions. As we get busier our parish staff works harder and longer hours.

In order to give our staff raises that let them know how much they are appreciated, and to allow us to expand our staff just a little, I am asking for you to consider your weekly or monthly offering. It would be great if everyone could consider a $5 to $10 increase weekly. I know that some might not be able to increase that much, and maybe some could do more to help others.

Of course, this would also help with the increased utility costs and maintenance and up-keep expenses. I know you are all very generous and I thank you for all that you have given. God has blessed us wonderfully, our tithe is how we thank God for our many blessings.
